Welcome

Welcome to the Chester County Historical Society

*New Public Hours* starting January 4, 2012 ~ Wednesday through Saturday from 9:30am - 4:30pm.

In the heart of West Chester, we’re a fun place to visit with programs, activities, museum, research library with newspapers dating back to Ben Franklin, photos from the beginning of the camera, spell-bounding, interactive exhibits, a History Lab where you can dress in a Civil War officer’s jacket, learn how to construct a Chester County Chippendale-style chair, and events that are amazing – and all relate to the history of Chester County from 1600 to today.

Come in, bring the whole family – there is something for everyone – from researching your Family or your House to taking a virtual exploration to the Arctic!

Visit, study, be enlightened and become a member today!
