Dress, 1865-1875 (Left)

Back To Era Fashion Plates

Tan silk chine, silk fringe

While many women took advantage of local dressmakers within the county, this dress is an example of custom work from Paris, France. The Dressmaker, Madame Darrigan, prominently labels her handiwork at the center back inside of the bodice. The plaid dress is featured in the Before the Civil War Era.
