Molly Maguire’s in Phoenixville

197 Bridge Street Phoenixville, PA 19460

In partnership with the Historical Society of the Phoenixville Area, Ryan Conroy will provide a brief history of the Irish in Phoenixville starting from the first immigrants in the 1810s to boxing in the 1950s. They dug the canal, built the railroad, worked in the mills, boxed, and fought in the Civil War.  One was even the last survivor of the Charge of the Light Brigade! Hear their stories with plenty of heroics and humor. The program is free for the community to enjoy but an RSVP is required by September 15 as space is limited to 75 attendees, available on a first come first served basis! RSVP to rsvp@chestercohistorical.org.

History on Tap brings history to you in the casual atmosphere of your favorite local bar or restaurant. There will be lots of great food and drink available for purchase. The program is free for the community to enjoy! Generously sponsored by Susquehanna Bank, and WCHE 1520AM. The portable sound system is sponsored by Colleen and Basel Frens.
