Gift of Elizabeth Wood Jackson

This dress worn by Eleanor Dickson Jackson is subdued in color, but has all the elements of an ideal 1870s day dress including a peplum, apron front, bustle, and slight train. The ruffles are created from the dress fabric gathered on the bias. The front is accented with an organdy stand up collar and ten green buttons down the center front.
