Learning
Exploration! Discovery! Investigation! Adventure!
Discover your connection to Chester County history.

Chester County Historical Society is filled with the stories, photos, art and artifacts which make all of our programs connect us today with the people of yesterday. The history of southeastern Pennsylvania provides not only a view of the past but an eye to the future. Come and discover - hands-on activities, crafts, interactive exhibits, engaging storytellers - all make learning enjoyable.

Connecting Students to Local History
School and Youth Programs, created for groups, appeal to kids’ curiosity about life before they were born, entice them into America’s past and give them the background and skills needed for school, as well as provide information that will make them involved, educated citizens.

Our collections are the “stuff” of history – the letters, diaries, tools, toys photos and furnishings of days gone by. We teach through the power of the objects, putting you face to face with the past.

All this information is partnered with workshops and resources created specifically to support teachers and youth leaders, which align with Pennsylvania curriculum standards and fulfill students curiosity.

Chester County Historical Society coordinates National History DayDr. Sarah Trembanis, in Chester and Delaware Counties. The regional competition is graciously hosted by Immaculata University, through the efforts of Dr. Sarah Trembanis (Asst. Professor of History) on the historic 375 acre campus in Malvern, PA.
