Back To Era Ready-Made / Handmade

Blue-gray silk faille
Gift of Anne L. Heideman

After their initial popularity during the 1820s and 1830s, puffed sleeves experienced a revival at the end of the century. While we don't know who wore it, Mrs. Wamsley of Baltimore made it by the imprinted label. The decorations were available for purchase by the yard.
