The Chester County Historical Society continuously ties together people, places and stories from several centuries in ways that inform, surprise and excite us!  Join us in the excitement on Thursday, March 2nd.  We are presenting, in partnership with Longwood Gardens, a fascinating evening exploring A Legacy of Plant Exploration.

 

Enjoy a wine and cheese reception at Chester County Historical Society, tour the exhibit and learn from three notable speakers: artist Adrian Martinez, Longwood Gardens instructor David Culp, and Longwood Gardens Curator Peter Zale.

    This week is the Chester County Historical Society’s 29th Annual Southeastern PA National History Day (NHD) regional contest. Local students from over 20 different schools will compete at CCHS on Friday April 6 (Senior Contest) and Saturday April 7 (Junior Contest).

    The Chester County Historical Society and the Chester County Archives will host a series of informative genealogical lectures in May. The Coming to America series focuses on the record types, research strategies, and historical context of immigration and naturalization, with special focus on German, PA Dutch, and Irish ancestors.
