Quilts: The Next Layer
Rotation #1 on view through April 8!
Pieced and appliquéd cotton, silk and wool quilts and quilt tops represent strong 19th-century needlework traditions among local women. This exhibit of two dozen quilts delights the eye and inspires quilters and quilt enthusiasts. CCHS acquired these quilts since 2003, including one attributed to Rebecca Lukens, and most have never been exhibited before.
