History on Tap
Tuesday, May 16, 6:30 - 8:30 PM
Molly Maguire's Irish Restaurant & Pub, Phoenixville: http://www.mollymaguiresphoenixville.com/

World War I will be the next subject in the Chester County Historical Society’s (CCHS) popular History On Tap series.  On Tuesday, May 16 Ryan Conroy, Historian and President of the Historical Society of the Phoenixville Area, will lead a discussion about the history of the men and woman who served during WWI from the North Chester County region, from towns such as Phoenixville and Spring City.

This talk commemorates the 100th anniversary of America’s involvement in the war.  Conroy will feature individual soldiers, regiments and the area’s contribution on the battlefront and the homefront in his remarks and in a display of original items from his personal collection.  This talk will also provide a glimpse into the upcoming exhibit Phoenixville in WWI: A Centennial Remembrance at The Historical Society of the Phoenixville Area, opening at 6 p.m. on June 2, 2017.

History On Tap is in its 5th year, with continued generous support from BB&T.  This CCHS program series is all about local history in a casual setting.  Join your friends for dinner on May 16th at Molly Maguire’s Irish Restaurant and Pub, 197 Bridge St, Phoenixville, PA 19460.  The program starts at 6:30 p.m. and a prix fixe menu is available.   RSVP’s, suggested to assist the restaurant, should be given to CCHS at rsvp@chestercohistorical.org or 610-692-4800.
