Chester County Historical Society serves student and teacher needs in a variety of ways. All of our programs help teachers meet Pennsylvania State Academic Standards. Depending upon the topic, programs can be offered either at the museum or in your school. Our engaging interactive programs use the power of objects to put students in touch with the past in ways that make history appeal to a variety of learning styles and interests. CCHS coordinates National History Day for Chester and Delaware Counties and partners with Immaculata University, which hosts the regional competition.
For special programs for homeschools, see the calendar of events.
Our experienced museum educators provide a bridge between the classroom and museum by offering resources for teachers, including teacher workshops for Act 48 credit. School faculty and staff may contact Sue Knight (610-692-4800 x203 or sknight@chestercohistorical.org) to set up customized museum experiences for students.
