*CCHS administers the Chester County Archives in cooperation with the County of Chester. The County Archives, which houses the historic government records of Chester County, is located in the Government Services Center on Westtown Road.
There are many parking options available for your use.
- The closest public parking for the Chester County Historical Society is the Chestnut Street Garage [http://www.westchesterbid.com/view_professionalservice.php?memid=541] at 14 East Chestnut Street, across the street from CCHS. Two-hour parking is available in the short term parking area on the ground floor. Pay at the kiosk and display your ticket on your car's dashboard. Garage hours are posted. Many business and restaurants validate your garage ticket with purchase, so take it with you.
- Metered parking is available on-street and in several parking lots. Meters take quarters only, 15-minutes for each quarter up to three-hours or longer at the parking lot at Chestnut & Church Streets. Metered parking is enforced from 8am to 10pm Monday through Friday and 5pm to 10pm on Saturday. Parking on Sunday is free. Once the time on the meter has expired, parked cars are subject to an overtime parking ticket.

When planning your visit to CCHS, please be advised that the Mosteller parking garage located at Chestnut and Walnut Streets.
Many parking options are still available for your use. CCHS's front door is just steps away from the Bicentennial parking garage, located on the corner of High and Market Streets. You can walk directly to CCHS or chose to enjoy the historical sites you will pass along the way. Once you arrive, our front desk staff will be happy to provide you with a mini tour sheet for your return.
Weekday visitors between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. can find meters at the Church and Chestnut Street lot (number 10 on the map below) or at the Market and Walnut Street lot or the Gay and Walnut Street lot.
